Surviving Borneo

In 1973 Ken and Colleen Ward, together with their two young children Evan and Lynette, left their comfortable homeland of New Zealand to live among the primitive Dayak tribes in the forbidding jungles of Indonesian Borneo. Their mission: to bring light and hope to a dark and fearful people – many of whom had never seen white people before. In these pages you’ll travel with the Wards and experience Borneo through their eyes: dangerous rivers, sinking boats, jungle sicknesses, deadly snakes, hostile witchdoctors, and more. Initially written for their grandchildren, Surviving Borneo is the inspirational true story of faith shining through the dark clouds of frustration and fear.
